1) Hellfire Bay

Easily the most amazing beach in the world, Hellfire Bay has the most incredible coloured water! Even during the Easter Holidays there were hardly any people! If you’re road tripping Western Australia make sure you head down to see the beaches around Esperance.

2) Hyams Beach

Only 3 hours south of Sydney, Jervis Bay is a great weekend getaway. Stretching over 2.8km Hyams beach is rumoured to have the whitest sand in the world. The water is also crystal clear and the beach backs onto bush, it really is a piece of paradise. Keep your eyes peeled for dolphins!

3) Whitehaven Beach

Whitehaven is voted the most beautiful beach in Australia, and is a must visit on your trip to the Whitsundays in Queensland.

The Hill inlet is located to the north of the 7km long Whitehaven beach and is the third most photographed spot in Australia. The swirling blue and turquoise water over the white sand is quite a site so I definitely recommend booking a tour that includes a visit to the Hill Inlet lookout.

It is easy to understand why Whitehaven beach is the third most photographed spot in Australia! 😍 :: :: Number 1 is Sydney Harbour and number 2 is Uluru (Ayers rock)! What’s the most photographed spot in your country? 📷 :: :: If you visit Whitehaven beach make sure you book a tour that includes a trip to the hill inlet so you can have this epic view! I went on the full day tour with @cruisewhitsundays – check out my story highlights for the full deets! 🙏 :: :: TRAVEL TIP – Be careful when swimming in the sea at Whitehaven as for 6 months of the year there are stingers – our tour included stinger suits so you could swim freely 💦 :: :: Edited on @lightroom for desktop using my Golden Glow POP preset😍 :: :: #cruisewhitsundays #presstrip #whitehaven #whitehavenbeach #followmeto #whitsundays #lovewhitsundays #exploretnq #seeaustralia #thisisqueensland #queensland

4) Lucky Bay

Coming down the road to Lucky Bay I couldn’t help but go WOW! You can see the turquoise waters from afar and it really does take your breathe away.

Lucky Bay near Esperance in Western Australia is also where you’ll find kangaroos on the beach!

View this post on Instagram

What do you call a lazy baby kangaroo? A pouch potato! 🦘🤣 :::: I want to use this post to say goodbye to this beautiful country I've called home for the last year. 🇦🇺 :::: Living and working in Sydney within walking distance of several beaches was an absolute dream! 🏖 :::: We chilled with kangaroos, watched the sunrise over uluru, saw 3 shows at the @sydneyoperahouse, swam with whale sharks in Exmouth, bathed in countless waterfalls, roadtripped the Great Ocean Road and hiked to some incredible viewpoints. But we never put another shrimp on the barbie 🦐🤣 so I guess we need to return! :::: If any of you have any questions about Australia, ask away! 😘🇦🇺 I’ve already answered a few in my stories 🥰 :::: TRAVEL TIP – We visited Lucky Bay at the end of April and the kangaroos were on the beach all day, I found that the best time to take a photo was before 9:30am as that's when there aren't as many cars/people. :::: Edited with my Golden Film Preset 🌟 :::: #esperance #luckybay #justanotherdayinwa #westernaustralia #seeaustralia #iamtb #naturegramy #speechlessplaces #sheisnotlost #awesomelifestyle

5) Turquoise Bay

The name of the beach kind of gives it away, but Turquoise Bay near Exmouth really does have some incredible water! It’s also a great place to go snorkelling.

6) Bay of Fires

Beautiful white sand, crystal blue water and unique lichen covered orange rocks, makes the Bay of Fires a super unique beach to visit in Australia. Definitely add it to your Tasmania road trip!

There are a number of different beaches along the Bay of Fires, make sure you check out Binalong Bay and Jeanneret beach.

7) Bronte Beach

My personal favourite beach in Sydney, not just because it’s less busy than Bondi, but because of the amazing FREE rockpool!

8) Salmon Beach

Another beach in Australia that took my breath away was Salmon Beach on Rottnest Island. It was made even better by the fact that I cycled there!

View this post on Instagram

The beaches on Rottnest Island BLUE me away 💦🤣 :::: Not only does Rottnest Island have some incredible beaches with crystal clear water but it is also filled with one of the cutest animals in Australia, the Quokka! :::: If you’re planning a trip to Rottnest, there are 3 different ferry services that you can catch, we went with @sealinkrotto as not only do they have the most environmentally friendly vessel but it is also the most affordable taking only 35 minutes and leaves from Fremantle which is easily accessible from Perth city centre by train. :::: TRAVEL TIP – There are no cars on the island so the main way to get around Rottnest Island is by bike. Hire your bike via @sealinkrotto when you purchase your ferry ticket so that you can skip the queue upon arrival 🚲 :::: Find out more in my new blog post (link in bio) :::: Edited on @lightroom with my Golden Glow Pop preset – get 50% off my entire shop until midnight on May 8 #gingerpresets 🌟 :::: #sealinkrotto #sealinkrottnest #quokka1 #rottnestisland #westernaustralia #seeperth #salmonbeach #justanotherdayinwa #sheisnotlost

9) Lake McKenzie

Not your typical beach as it is in fact a lake, but the contrast of the two blues is just amazing! If you visit Fraser Island you 100% have to check out Lake McKenzie.

View this post on Instagram

We visited Fraser Island a few days ago, and I fell in love with the lake McKenzie. Not only is the lake super pretty with white sand and light blue water, but also the water is so clear that I wanted to drink it and so warm that I never wanted to leave the lake! 📷 and edit by @thegingerwanderlust #australia #fraserisland #queensland #lakemckenzie #lakemckenziefraserisland #dreambeach #bestbeaches #bestbeachesaustralia #guyswhotravel #traveltemptation #travelawesome #instagood10k #beautifuldestinations #traveladdict #justgoshoot #worldtravelbook #thattravelblog #travlr #travelblogger #traveltagged #doyoutravel #iamtb #magicalplace #thewanderingtourist #sidewalkerdaily #passionpassport #traveltemptation #travelawesome #travelandlife #travellershouts In collaboration with @cooldingotour

10) Surfers Paradise

Surfers Paradise on the Gold Coast is a super unique beach in Australia, where the city meets the coastline! As the name suggests it’s also a super popular surfing spot.

View this post on Instagram

Always take out insurance before surfing, just in case the waves break 🌊🏄‍♀️🤣 :::: Make sure you add the Gold Coast to your road trip up Australia’s East Coast. The skyscraper fringed beaches make it one of Australia’s most iconic coastlines! 🏄‍♀️ :::: Would you prefer to live in a city or by the beach? 🏖 :::: TRAVEL TIP – We went south of Surfers Paradise to Kurrawa Park so that we could get a shot of the city sky line on the beach without too many people in. :::: Head to my NEW blog post to find out my full East Cost Australia road trip itinerary 🇦🇺 :::: 📷 by @alexwandr and edited on @lightroom with my Golden Glow Pop preset 🌟#gingerpresets :::: #surfersparadise #goldcoast #thisisqueensland #queensland #goldcoastbeach #seeaustralia #blondesandcookies #womenwhoexplore #sheisnotlost

11) Wineglass Bay

Whether you climb Mount Amos to see Wineglass Bay from afar or you make the hike to the beach itself, you will not be disappointed. If you’re road tripping around Tasmania you have to stop at Freycinet National Park.

View this post on Instagram

This view made me go weak at the knees, literally, the hike up was intense! But it was so worth it, even if Amos climb down 🏔🤣 :::: What's the hardest hike you've ever been on? 🏃‍♀️🥾 :::: If you're planning a trip to @freycinetnp and you're on a budget, I would recommend staying in the nearby town of Bicheno (about a 30 minute drive away). I found the accommodation here to be half the price of Cole Bay! You can even get 40$ off your next stay with @bookingcom using the link in my bio. ANYONE can use this code, your account doesn't need to be new, and the currency will be converted to suit you! 🌟 :::: EDITING TIP – If you’re looking to add a little something extra to your picture check out the PicsArt app (that’s how I added the birds 🦅) :::: #bookingcom #ad #mountamos #mtamos #freycinet #discovertasmania #sheisnotlost #dametraveler #darlingescapes #womenwhoexplore #prettylittletrips #backpackerstory #hikingadventures

12) Moreton Island

The beach itself isn’t the most amazing one I’ve ever been to but the cluster of shipwrecks make for a super unique snorkelling experience in Queensland. If you are spending a few days in Brisbane, I would definitely recommend a day trip to Moreton Island.

13) Cape Tribulation

Located a few hours north of Cairns, Cape Tribulation is a beautiful palm fringed beach. I wouldn’t recommend swimming here though as there can be the occasional crocodile! But this does mean that the beach is generally deserted, it really makes you feel like you are alone in the world!

I hope you have the best time exploring all of the beautiful beaches in Australia, lying on the soft white sand, swimming in the crystal clear waters and snorkelling with all the unique marine wildlife.
