All You Need to Know to Visit the Noosa Fairy Pools

If you’re planning a trip to Noosa, make sure you check out the crystal clear water of the fairy pools. They are easy to get to and a great photo spot!

GETTING TO THE NOOSA FAIRY POOLS

The fairy pools are located inside the Noosa National Park. You can park for free at the Noosa National Park Car Park and then follow the trail round.

The path is around 2.5km long and will take you about 30 minutes. It’s primarily flat and easy going.

The fairy pool’s are located as per the pin on google. Once you get there you will see a fence saying not to go over but if you walk round the corner you will see that this barrier ends and there’s a little path to follow down the rocks.

There are a couple of rock pools at the bottom of the trail, but the iconic Noosa fairy pool is located inside the rocks, you will need to climb up to look for it.

BEST TIME TO GO TO THE NOOSA FAIRY POOLS

As the fairy pools are connected to the ocean you need to make sure you go at low tide or as the tide is going out. The fairy pools can be dangerous at high tide with rogue waves and currents.

If you are wanting to get photos with no one in, you will want to go early. We left our car at 7am, arriving at the fairy pools around 7:30am. We spent 2 hours there before another couple arrived. I would try to avoid the weekends if possible although we went on a Saturday morning and it was still fine.

I hope you enjoy the beautiful clear waters of the Noosa fairy pools! Please remember to respect the environment by taking all your rubbish with you and also not putting suncream on right before entering the water.
