The Most Instagrammable Hotels in Bali

Bali is an instagrammers dream! The island is packed with random swings, beautiful nature, cute cafés and just the most amazing hotels! I had the chance to stay at several beautiful luxury accommodations in Bali and here are my top seven most instagrammable hotels!

CHILLHOUSE

The Chillhouse is a tropical lifestyle retreat with a surf-style decor and each room boasting its own terrace. They offer bi-daily complimentary yoga sessions and you can also organise surfing lessons or a wide range of cultural and healing activities.

Read a book in the co-working space, chill by the pool or enjoy one of many delicious organic meals at the onsite restaurant, Cassava. Best of all, rooms start from only 68USD a night!

THE COLONY HOTEL

The Colony Hotel is a beautiful white colonial building, which is ideally located in the centre of Seminyak, within walking distance to both the beach, Seminyak square and loads of restaurants (like Sea Circus and Mexicola!).

Relax in the sun loungers by the large swimming pool or enjoy breakfast in the poolside café soaking in the old-fashioned charm. They offer 3 different types of rooms which each offer a vintage flair so you can choose which one suits you best.

DESA VISESA

The Desa Visesa is a culturally inspired luxury resort in Ubud. The IZE is a modern, stylish hotel in the centre of Seminyak. The decor in the reception is exceptionally remarkable, with the high ceiling stealing the show. You should also look down the hall on the ground floor around midday – the light shining through is so cleverly thought out!

Make the most of happy hour on the rooftop poolside bar or work up a sweat in the gym. You will also enjoy a buffet breakfast in the morning, and the restaurant in the evening has a live acoustic band every night. They have five different Scandinavian-style room types to choose from, with each offering a large space and amazing shower.

KAYON RESORT

If you’re looking for a romantic stay in Ubud, the Kayon Resort should be top of your list! With an infinity pool overlooking the jungle and the sounds of a waterfall flowing, the Kayon Resort is really completely in harmony with nature. Make sure you try their afternoon tea – they have a tasty selection of savoury and sweet Balinese snacks. You can have this in the café by the waterfall (!) or by the infinity pool!

Make sure you admire the 50 meter stone wall which has been carved to depict the love story between Rama & Shinta. Book an extra special romantic table in the restaurant and they will surround it with flowers and candles!

MUNDUK MODING PLANTATION

Nestled in the mountains in north Bali, the Munduk Moding Plantation has over 5 hectares of land overlooking their coffee plantation. The way the infinity pool juts out over the mountain makes you feel like you’re floating on a cloud!

Enjoy your days exploring the nearby waterfalls and temples (they have a daily free shuttle) and spend the evening cosying up in the jacuzzi near the bonfire. They also have a games room with boardgames, table tennis and pool!

VILLAS OTTALIA

You can’t come to Bali and not make a trip to the Gili islands! Think amazing coral reefs, wild turtles and quiet island life.

The Villas Ottalia have gorgeous, green eco-resorts on both Gili T and Gili M. All of the material used when building the resorts are natural and not a single coconut tree was cut down, they’ve also planted lots of beautiful plants and flowers. The private bungalows overlook the large public pool, or you an opt for a villa with its own private pool!
